Bright, Mayor Members of the Board of Commissioners Town of Grifton North Carolina Dear Gentlemen: I am pleased to submit for your review and consideration the Town of Grifton’s FY 2004-2005 Budget. The document provides for the recurring service needs of our community within a strict operating budget and finances the costs of providing these services with conservative revenue estimates. The objective of the proposed budget is to hold operating expenses to a minimum while the Town adjusts to significant losses in population and state shared revenues due to Hurricane Floyd and the 2000 US Census. The Town continues to provide a large base of services to citizens while keeping the rate of taxation as low as possible. ______________________________________________________________________________
